Return

Having secured the rover and prepared for liftoff, the kerbonauts waited for the Command Module to pass overhead.

They could get a final glimps of TGA-1 from altitude.

Once in orbit around the Mun, redezvous and docking with the CM occured with no incidents. Kerbonauts were starting to get good at this.

The remaining fuel in the LM was transfered to the CM before the burn back home.

Shortly after, they were on their way. The trans-munar trajectory would bring them within Kerbin's atmosphere.

After separation from first the Lunar Module and then the Service part of the CM, the command pod reentered the atmosphere as predicted.

After slowing down, parachutes opened and then, finally, the pod splashed down safely.

Mission accomplished!
