Landing on an icy moon
The first orbit around Mun was used to spot the robotic lander left behind by the Minmus Express mission. This marked a large low-lying flat basin that is perfect for landing.
The Orion spacecraft separated from the IPS on the next orbit and prepared for the landing retroburn.
The powered descent was very easy, as is to be expected from the high thrust of the Orion and Minmus' weak gravity (less than one third that of the Mun, and around 20 times weaker than Kerbin's).
Skilled pilot Jebediah Kerman landed the Orion spacecraft softly on Minmus' sparkly ground.
